Inside the Hampton Yachts 830

Here's a close-up look at this Euro-inspired 83-footer.

During the Palm Beach International Boat Show, we toured the born-to-travel Hampton 830 Euro. She’s designed by J.C. Espinosa. One of her striking features is the atrium in the main-deck galley forward. Light bathes the space creating a sense of volume.

Abaft the galley is a formal dining table for 8 with uninterrupted views out the sliding doors and side windows that stretch nearly sole-to-ceiling. Cut-down bulwarks amidships enhance the ocean views from the salon and dining space.

The yacht has four staterooms for owners and guests, plus two more for crew.

The Hampton 830 Euro is built to travel with a deep-V hull form supported by solid fiberglass construction below the waterline. A series of longitudinal stringers and transversals add further backbone and rigidity.

Twin 1,136 hp Caterpillar C-18 Acert diesels give the yacht a 23-knot top hop at half load.
