Evo Yachts, builder of the transformer-style day boat, the Evo 43, is expanding its range with the 43-foot Evo Walk Around. The model, engineered by Studio Tecnico Rivellini and designed by Valerio Rivellini, is born from the same design concept as all Evo yachts, the builder says: “clean lines and a minimalist design, accompanied by a series of unique solutions on the market to ensure that this motor yacht can be enjoyed to its full potential.”

The Walk Around’s name derives from her side decks that allows guests easy access to the foredeck from the cockpit via walking around the helm station. The builder says the concept is borrowed from sport-fishing boats. Her foredeck has room for a sun pad that transforms into two chaise-style lounges with headrests, as well as side tables with cup holders and speakers for guests’ listening pleasure. A roughly 13-by-10-foot carbon fiber T-top covers the cockpit and helm station, which extends an extra 5 feet aft and also has extending side shades.

Like her predecessor, the Evo 43, the Evo WA also has an expandable after section. The hull sides open hydraulically in less than 30 seconds, increasing the space by 40 percent to a total 269 square feet of space, the builder says. Also like her predecessor, the aft space arrangement is owner’s choice. Options include three chaise-style lounges, a retractable table or sun pads that can convert into benches. Additionally, Evo says the space can be fit with the stern “Transformer,” which reportedly rotates about 270 degrees to perform various functions, such as being a swim platform, tender lift or boarding ramp.

Descending down the Walk Around’s backlit, Plexiglas stairway, there is a hideaway table with V-shaped bench seats that transform into a berth. Sans table and berth, the space becomes a lounge area. Belowdecks also has an aft stateroom and a head with shower.

The Walk Around is powered by twin 435 hp Volvo Penta IPS600 diesels that push her to a reported 38-knot top hop and a 28-knot cruising speed. The helm station dash on Hull No. 1 is elm, but carbon fiber or various other woods are options. Joystick is standard. Plus, the helm seat hides a refrigerator for snacks on the hook.
