Ocean Independence just welcomed one of the most exciting new yachting options to its charter fleet: Game Changer, a 226-foot Damen support vessel that can be booked alone or in tandem with a traditional charter yacht.
Game Changer is a platform for carrying extra toys, oversized tenders and helicopters, in addition to any extra staff or crew required to use them. She has a 16-knot cruising speed, a helideck and space to host parties for 250 guests.
The support vessel can cruise ahead of the mothership charter yacht, allowing crew to have all the water toys in the water and ready for guests upon arrival at new harbors along any itinerary.
How many yacht-support vessels are there? Damen has 11 either delivered or in build, but Game Changer is the first being heavily promoted for charter.
What’s the lowest weekly base rate? $220,000 (in addition to any mothership that is chartered in tandem).
