“The minimalism and purity of the lines are the heart and soul of this project,” architect Horacio Bozzo says of Elaldrea+. Benetti Yachts

Launched last spring, Benetti’s 160-foot custom displacement yacht, Elaldrea+, was recently delivered to her owner at a ceremony in Viareggio, Italy. Her streamlined exterior was designed by Argentinian naval architect Horacio Bozzo, who opted to paint her steel hull and aluminum superstructure pearl white with silver accents for a sleek and elegant profile. The yacht’s interior and deck areas were designed with the owner’s large family and social life in mind.

Key features on Elaldrea+, the builder says, include her beach club where guests can relax in the sauna. There’s also a TV, bar and settee there. The space is enclosed, but a rear door opens out to the 270-square-foot swim platform. Also on the lower deck, are four en suite guest staterooms, two of which are 269-square-foot VIPs. There are also three double crew cabins, a laundry room and a stern garage that can house a 21-foot tender.

Twin MTU 12V diesels reportedly push Elaldrea+ to a 14.5-knot top speed and allow for a 13.5-knot cruise speed when they’re running at 85 percent. Thanks to a 4,000-nautical-mile range at 10 knots, this yacht is fit for the long haul, but thanks to her owner’s eco-friendly request that her three in-line generators have HUG anti-particulate filters, her pollution is reduced.

All the custom outdoor furnishings on Elaldrea+ were designed in collaboration with the brands Link Outdoor, Sutherland and Vaar. As for her interior — like in her main-deck salon and formal dining area, for example — the yacht’s owner chose furnishing from brands including Poltrona Frau, Giorgetti, Softhouse and Arketipo, which integrate with other materials including the woods Canaletto walnut and Tanganyika; various marbles like Travertine, Afyon Miele and Crema Luna; and steel detailing.

Forward of her salon and dining area is Elaldrea+‘s galley, where the pantry contains two custom designed wine cellars, and forward of that is the owner’s spacious suite. The 645-square-foot stateroom includes an office area, two walk-in closets and his-and-her heads connected by a central shower, all outfitted with luxurious woods, marbles and furnishings as well. The owner even has easy access to fresh air and a breeze via the room’s fold-out balcony.

When guests make their way to the upper deck, they’ll find an ocean water swimming pool on the bow and tables, a bar and Southerland furniture aft. Plus, the owner definitely had their entertainment in mind when he specially requested a full game room with private head for the interior. The captain’s en suite cabin is also on this deck, conveniently located near the yacht’s helm station.

Finally, Elaldrea+‘s flybridge has a A 50-inch TV that can play the game while dinner is grilled on the barbecue. There’s plenty of room to enjoy it all at a square table for 10, or on the settees and chairs forward. Plus – 20 minutes after eating, of course – guests could hop into the 13-foot-by-6-foot swimming pool.
