Three launches ranging from 104 to 108 feet from Italian builder Baglietto hit the water during the summer of 2001.
The 104-foot Blue Magic launched from the Varazze yard and characterizes Baglietto's entry into the market of low speed, full-displacement vessels. Blue Magic has a rounded steel hull and aluminum alloy superstructure. She was built specifically for making Atlantic crossings and has a range of more than 3,000 nautical miles. Her cruising speed is 12 to 13 knots. Power comes from a pair of 900 hp 3412 ETA Caterpillar engines.
