Bavaria Yachts in Germany caught our attention with these renderings for its newest project, a 40-footer whose code name is DA-10.

What we know so far — ahead of her official press unveiling at the Boot Düsseldorf boat show in January — is that she’s designed in conjunction with Vripack and will be a semi-displacement build intended to meet all the needs and desires of North American boaters.

Sedan and flybridge versions will be available, each with two- or three-stateroom layouts. The main deck will offer 360-degree views from the central helm station, guest space and galley. Volvo Penta engine options from 75 to 300 horsepower will be available.

The first prototype of the DA-10 is expected to set sail in spring of 2016.
