Numarine is scheduled to debut its 40MXP explorer yacht at the Palm Beach International Boat Show 2026 from March 25 to 29. The yacht on display, named MITAN, represents the second hull built on the 40-meter platform and serves as the flagship of the builder’s XP Series.

The 40MXP, short for Mediterranean Explorer, builds on the concept established by the earlier 37XP but emphasizes outdoor living and social spaces more. The superyacht blends long-range cruising capability with deck setups aimed toward Mediterranean-style living.

Umberto Tagliavini did the yacht’s naval architecture with exterior styling from Can Yalman. According to the builder, the design brief focused on maintaining the XP series’ ocean-going capability while expanding exterior areas for fun and entertaining.

The yacht measures about 131 feet in length overall and accommodates up to 12 guests in six staterooms. There is a full-beam, main-deck owner’s space along with additional guest accommodations belowdecks. Two cabins can be tailored to an owner’s needs.

Exterior spaces include an aft deck with a swimming pool, and the overall deck layout is arranged for open-air lounging with friends. According to the builder, the yacht was designed with a family-oriented owner in mind, prioritizing shared spaces and active use of the exterior decks.

When it comes to power, twin 800 hp MAN diesels are standard.Twin 900 hp MANs are optional. At a cruising speed of approximately 8 knots, the yacht has a reported transatlantic range of about 6,000 nautical miles.

The 40MXP also uses noise and vibration reduction measures developed in collaboration with Silent Line. These systems reduce onboard sound and vibration levels during operation, which is particularly helpful during long passages.

Numarine has previously described its XP line as a series designed to combine expedition-style capability with comfort for extended cruising. The 40MXP expands that concept with larger exterior entertainment areas while retaining the range and seakeeping characteristics associated with explorer-style yachts.

The 40MXP will debut at the Palm Beach show, near Ramp 2.
