GX Superyachts says its first yacht, the 138-foot GX42, has entered the final outfitting phase ahead of a scheduled summer launch, marking a significant milestone for the new builder as it prepares for its public debut later this year.
Construction is now focused on completing the main-deck owner’s suite and the full-beam saloon after work on the lower-deck guest accommodations, bathrooms and engine room was largely finished. On the sundeck, teak decking has been laid while furniture installation and the addition of a Jacuzzi remain underway. Electrical and electronic systems are also being completed in the wheelhouse.
Designed by Marco Casali, the GX42’s interior pairs walnut paneling with white leather, lacquered finishes and Italian fabrics. The design emphasizes natural materials intended to complement the yacht’s hybrid-focused approach and family-oriented cruising layout.
The GX42 is the first model in the GX Superyachts lineup and is being built for a private owner who plans to spend the yacht’s inaugural season cruising the western Mediterranean. Following sea trials and delivery, the yacht is scheduled to make its world debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.
Beyond the flagship project, GX Superyachts says development continues on its Voyager 38 and Voyager 45 models, while plans are also underway to expand the range with proposed GX35 and GX50 models.
