Yachting in the Southern Bahamas

The islands of San Salvador, Long Island and Crooked Island are paradise central.

In October 2015, the beautiful islands of the southern Bahamas were hit very hard by hurricane Joaquin. They are currently in the process of rebuilding, and they’re doing an excellent job considering the situation.

Crooked Island is excellent for deep-sea fishing and stunning stretches of open, unpopulated water. If looking to come ashore, Long Island is one of the best-provisioned islands in the Southern Bahamas. The Flying Fish Marina is a full service marina with access to world-class diving and fishing, and it’s the last place to top off your tanks before heading south into the Caribbean. San Salvador is the island Christopher Columbus first stepped foot in the new world. It’s rich in history, and home to the Riding Rock Marina, a well-sheltered marina with all the amenities you could ask for when passing through.
