A Yacht to Make Gatsby Swoon

This 1920s design is really a modern build that is now available on the brokerage market.

She looks like something right off the screen of the new Leonardo DiCaprio film Gatsby, but the 141-foot Universal Teorem is really a modern build that just listed for sale with Fraser Yachts Worldwide.

Teorem was built in 1994 to look like a yacht from the 1920s, yet with modern systems and technology including a steel hull and GRP superstructure. She was further modernized during an extensive refit in 2005, when, among other things, her engines were replaced with twin 310-hp Caterpillar 3506TAs. They give her a range of 5,300 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 10 knots. (Top speed is 11 knots.)

Teorem has seven guest staterooms and is designed to accommodate a total of 16 guests, including extra bunks for children in the VIP cabins. She is currently in the South of France, and her asking price is €3.95 million.
