The Xplore 70 concept from Nigel Irens Design is 230 feet LOA and focuses on speed and range, with a top speed of 28 knots and a 4,000- to 5,000-nautical mile range. The design stems from a previous yacht, Ocean Eagle, created by the same team. Irens sees the Xplorer 70 to be used as a research laboratory, aquarium or a dive-center.
