Windy Boats is best-known for its sporty-looking cruising boats. Now, the company is eyeing the megayacht market, but not by leaping into large-yacht construction. Rather, the Norway-based builder is offering a series of megayacht tenders.

Windy has teamed with EYOS Tenders, a company specializing in sourcing toys for owners and crew around the world, to market the new line. The duo has already sold the first three hulls.

The tenders measure 26’3”, though larger designs are planned for the future. They further include some pretty innovative ideas. Arguably the best one of these is the fold-down center console. This makes it easier to stow in various tender bays, especially ones where overhead clearance is tight.

Another attractive idea is the adjustable seating arrangement. The port side of the boat can be set up with one long benchseat for up to 12 people, or individual seats for nine people.

Then there’s the list of options, all of which come at no extra cost. If you enjoy using your tender to head to swimming holes, select the onboard shower so you can rinse off before heading back to the yacht. Underwater LEDs at the transom will light up your anchorage, and probably also attract plenty of fish for entertainment. If you have friends or family who are sometimes unsteady climbing in and out of tenders, you’ll appreciate the lollipop handrails. They’re removable, too.

The EYOS-Windy tenders are equipped with diesel outboards. Windy and EYOS expect to eventually offer a jet-drive model, too.
