Hull No. 1 of the Wider 150 is on schedule in the shipyard with delivery set for late September. When delivered, she will be the largest yacht from Wider, but she will be eclipsed in mid-2016 with delivery of Hull No. 1 of the Wider 165.

The 150 has a diesel-electric propulsion system combined with Azimuthal pods and Lithium polymer battery power. The combination is more common to commercial vessels than to luxury yachts, and, according to Wider, offers better reliability, fuel efficiency and range with reduced noise, vibration and maintenance. She can be powered for 12 hours at anchor using battery power alone.

The yacht is built entirely in aluminum, with exterior styling by Fulvio De Simoni in collaboration with Wider’s founder, Tilli Antonelli. Onboard features include a beach club with a 23-foot-long swimming pool, an 800-square-foot owner’s apartment with private terrace and a foredeck lounge with opening sunroof.

Tender stowage: There’s room for a 32-footer to be carried aboard.

Sizable beach club: It spans about 970 square feet.
