‘Wahoo’ is Right

Wahoo’s RIBs are aboard one of the finest mega-yachts in the world, and the LX600 shows why.

I was fortunate enough to get aboard the 361-foot Jubilee at the 2017 Monaco Yacht Show. She’s Oceanco’s largest build to date, and believe me, no compromises were made on that vessel (the gold-plated headboard in the master stateroom is a good example). That’s why it’s telling that Jubilee claims no fewer than four Wahoo RIBs in her tender fleet. The semicustom, hand-built British craft are highly respected, and for good reason. The LX600 (31 feet 5 inches LOA) seats 12 and, with twin 300 hp Mercury Verados, can hit 70 knots flat-out on its modified racing hull.

WHOM IT’S FOR: Yacht owners looking for a fast, customizable tender.

PICTURE THIS: You’re aboard a 300-footer moored off St. Barts, hanging out in the steam room one beautiful, bluebird-sky morning and sweating out the excesses from last night’s private Christina Aguilera concert. Suddenly, you’re itching to get moving and do something adrenaline-inducing. Luckily, you know exactly what to do: It’s time to rev up the Wahoo. Because when you’re tearing around the water at Mach 1, the world is yours.
