Video: Atlantic Flyboard

The newest water toy on the market takes extreme to the next level.

Just as we accepted the idea that people enjoy being strapped to a jet pack known as the Jetlev, we are trying to come to terms with the even more extreme (see: crazy) Atlantic Flyboard ($5,850). Liftoff is achieved by harnessing the hydropropulsion from a PWC and shooting it up a 60-foot hose and out of a snowboardlike platform. Steering the board is dictated by leg and hip movement, while the throttle is controlled via remote or by a friend on the PWC below. The high-octane video below shows users doing flips in the air one second and diving underwater the next. Training is available before trying the Flyboard; we recommend you take it.
