There’s exciting news for Van Der Valk, the Dutch builder.

The company recently received orders for two new builds, just in time for the holidays. One of the projects is a 26-meter Raised Pilothouse design that will, of course, have its wheelhouse set high. Another highlight will be a large foredeck entertainment area, which have become very en vogue these days. Indoors, the boat will have lots of whitewashed English oak that will be naturally lit thanks to especially large windows.

The 18-meter Flybridge yacht will be the first such version of that model under 20 meters for Van Der Valk. The boat will feature an outdoor helm station plus a crane large enough to hoist a 10-foot tender, so the owner can scoot into the beach if he so desires.

The boat also offers a sauna, which is connected to one of the heads. That’s a rare feature on a boat this size but one that shows Van Der Valk’s level of expertise and willingness to experiment. Both boats are set to launch in the spring of 2017.
