CHIRP technology is all the rage these days, but if you’re the type who prefers simpler imagery, then this new Furuno sounder may be for you.

The new dual-frequency Furuno FCV-627 (with a smaller screen) and FCV-587 (with a larger screen) operate at 50 kHz for their low-frequency channels and 200 kHz for high-frequency ones. Both models Both have Furuno Digital Filter and Post-Processing Gain technology for clearing up the on-screen clutter. They’re weatherproof and come with a bunch of features, including fish-echo alarms.
