The Tender Crane Wasn’t Big Enough

It’s hard enough getting a 20-foot RIB onto the flying bridge deck of a 110-foot motoryacht. Try it with a $400,000 Maserati, and the lift becomes a white-knuckle affair.

“The insurance premium was a little bit excessive,” Maserati dealer Greg Willims told Gold Coast, saying he paid $5,500 to cover the move ahead of this month’s Australia’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

Horizon will be displaying the P110 trideck at the boat show, and the hope is that anyone who likes the $9.7 million motoryacht might also want to drop a few extra dollars on the Maserati Gran Turismo MC Stradale.

This particular P110 is a 2012 build whose 1,900-hp Caterpillar C32A engines are described as brand-new. She has a pair of Onan generators, a suite of Raymarine electronics, KVH Tracvision satellites and zero-speed Trac stabilizers.
