The Tankoa shipyard in Italy has completed sea trials on its first mega-yacht in the S501 series, the 164-foot Vertige. Per the contract with the owner, the yacht was supposed to achieve 16 knots. During the sea trials, she topped out at 16.5 knots with a 60-percent load.
“There were no vibrations at all, and the decibel readings were inferior to contracted levels,” Edoardo Ratto, Tankoa’s general manager, stated in a press release. “In the owner’s suite and VIP cabin, levels were below 50 decibels.”
Exterior design on Vertige is by Francesco Paszkowski, with interiors by Paszkowski and Margherita Caprini.
Delivery to the owners is scheduled this month.
How long did the build take? Tankoa inked the deal to construct Vertige in February 2015.
