Van Der Valk in the Netherlands has launched Helga, which is Hull No. 5 of the builder’s 85-foot raised pilothouse model.

Helga has a pastel blue hull, one of numerous requests the owners had for the exterior. Other requests included an enhanced flybridge for more outdoor activities, and finishing details such as transom gate doors and intricate stainless steel work around the swim platform.

The owners plan to use the yacht as a family with their adult children, which is why the layout centers around a main lounge that’s large enough for everyone to gather in the evenings. To free up that space, the dining area was moved to the wheelhouse deck.

Accommodations include a master stateroom and three guest staterooms, all on the lower deck. Two crew cabins are forward from the main deck. The décor includes whitewashed oak and walnut.

How fast will Helga cruise? According to Van Der Valk, the MTU engines will provide a top speed of 27 knots.
