Numarine has unveiled plans for the smallest model in its line of expedition yachts: the 70-foot 22XP.

The boat is expected to debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2021. It will have four staterooms belowdecks, including a full-beam master.

“We felt like the market wanted a smaller entry model than the 26XP we were offering to date,” Omer Malaz, founder and chairman of Numarine, stated in a press release. “The 22XP is a very sophisticated design, and I’m glad she follows the footsteps of her larger sisters.”

Can Yalman handled exterior and interior design, while Umberto Tagliavini was responsible for naval architecture.

The shipyard plans to start building the first Numarine 22XP later this year, on spec.

What else is happening at Numarine? The yard sold Hulls No. 7-10 of the 26XP, along with Hull No. 4 of the 32XP. So far, 14 hulls in the XP Series have been sold.
