The 60-Knot Zar Formenti

The 95 SL is an Italian-built speedster.

Milan-based Zar Formenti is, like most Milanese brands, concerned with style. As such, the builder’s 95 SL (which stands for Sport Luxury) is particularly eye-catching, especially with her exterior lines—a proud bow swoops aft to create a sleek, distinct sheer line. But she’s not all sizzle and no steak. Her deep-V hull is built for rough water, and tunnels on each side of the hull help deflect wayward spray back down under the RIB’s tubes, even at the vessel’s 60-knot top-end speed.

Whom It’s For: This Zar Formenti is for the yachtsman who demands that a smooth, fast ride be accompanied by good looks that stand out at the docks.

Picture This: It’s summertime, and the waters off New York’s Sag Harbor are abuzz with yacht tenders and dayboats—mostly white center-consoles. Yawn. You zip up in your Zar Formenti, and suddenly, everyone is looking your way.
