Simrad just unveiled its BSM-3 Broadband Sounder with CHIRP, which is capable of reaching depths of a whopping 10,000 feet. Simrad says the BSM-3 is the most advanced sounder on the market, engineered for target separation, clarity and resolution throughout the water column.

The BSM-3 is designed for use with Simrad’s NSS evo2 and NSO evo2 multifunction systems. It’s also optimized for the new Airmar wide-angle CHIRP transducer series, which provides a 25-degree beam angle across the entire frequency range.

Features of the BSM-3 include bottom color tracking, easy-split zoom controls, scroll speeds and multiple transmit power settings. The housing is aluminum with a waterproof access cover.
