CNB Yacht Builders’ CNB 66 is under construction and slated to debut this fall.

According to her builder, the yacht was designed for speed and long-range cruising ability. Supplementing her sails is a 180 hp Volvo Penta D4 engine.

The CNB 66 has a 158-gallon fuel capacity, 70-foot LOA and 18-foot beam. She also has a 68,563-pound displacement.

Philippe Briand is the naval architect for the CNB 66, while Jean-Marc Piaton and Rafaël Bonet designed her interior. CNB Yacht Builders says that the build process is well underway, having recently “decked” the CNB 66.

The CNB 66’s amidships salon has an almost 10-foot-long settee whose middle section can be removed and used as additional seating around the dining table. A bar, which also functions as a desk or table, creates separation between the salon and the galley.

“We designed the hull with the triple objective of increasing the CNB 66’s volume, performance and seaworthiness. It will be capable of sailing far afield, while still able to be handled by a couple.”

Accommodations include 4 staterooms: an owner’s en suite forward, 2 guest staterooms amidships, and an aft en suite for either 2 crew or 2 more guests. The CNB 66’s garage houses an almost 11-foot tender that reportedly is launched or recovered in less than a minute through the hydraulic swim platform, by an electric winch.

The CNB 66 will debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.
