According to a press release from Discovery Yachts, the Discovery Cat 50 is designed by Dixon Yacht Designs for two-handed blue water cruising. The interior is designed by Ken Freivokh, and semi-customized interior options are available. The press release states, “The numerous portlights, windows and hatches ensures exceptional visibility from the navigation station and spacious living area.”
