Perini Navi Group has delivered Seahawk, a 197-footer that is the first launch in the Italian builder’s new 60-meter series.

Seahawk has an aluminum hull and superstructure, keeping her weight below 500 gross tons. She has a variable keel that allows her draft to shift from 14.1 feet to 40 feet, depending on conditions. Total sail plan area is 22,873 square feet with two aluminum masts and carbon-fiber booms, spreaders, foils, head-stays and diagonals. The standing rigging is also carbon fiber—a first for a Perini Navi ketch.

New Zealand designer Ron Holland collaborated with the Perini team on the design, which includes a new generation of fully recessed furlers for the head sails on the foredeck. The Perini Navi Mast Division also developed new captive winches to increase power and speed.

French designer Christian Liaigre handled interior design, which includes a large staircase as a centerpiece. A full-beam owner’s suite along with four guest staterooms are on the bottom deck.
