Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.
Boaters in West Palm Beach, Florida, can now cruise over to the city’s waterfront and docks, tie up and enjoy movie night with the kids. It’s just like the automobile drive-in experience of a generation ago across America, only better because you’re on a boat.
Loggerhead Marina, BoatingSouthFlorida.com, the city of West Palm Beach and the Downtown Development Authority teamed up to make the “boat-in movie” experience a reality. The first movie, Pirates of the Caribbean, is scheduled to air at 8:15 p.m. on August 24 (yep, that’s tomorrow night).
The only thing boaters need to enjoy the show is access to an FM radio, to pick up the audio of Capt. Jack Sparrow dishing out such memorable quips as, “I can’t bring this ship into Tortuga all by me onesies, savvy? So, can you sail under the command of a pirate, or can you not?”
Oh, we can. Yes we can.
