Since 1977, the year he founded [Pursuit Boats][] , Leon Slikkers has wanted his fishing boats to be a cut above the ordinary. He passed along his strong beliefs about quality and durability to his sons, and the company has continued to earn high marks from owners who recognize the savvy blend of features that serve fishermen and their families. The Pursuit OS 355 is one of three designs in the company’s Offshore line, the first with hull side windows to bring more light to the cabin.   Main takeaways: An innovative, electrically actuated main cabin berth/dinette with a second berth aft. In addition to the well-equipped tackle center and myriad rod-stowage options, the cockpit has foldaway bench seating aft and to starboard, complementing two aft-facing seats. A standard hardtop provides shelter, and the helm deck offers comfortable seating.   Whom it’s For: Serious anglers who prize the yacht-quality construction and top-notch amenities for which the company is known.   Picture This: After a full morning of fishing, you and your family drop the hook in a favorite anchorage, extend the optional automatic sun shade, install the removable table and settle in for an afternoon of swimming and snorkeling. You might even stay late and sleep overnight.

Born to Run

Twin Yamaha F350 four-stroke outboards can propel the OS 355 to a top speed of 40.6 knots when conditions allow. The sweet spot at 4,000 rpm nets 24.4 knots and a fuel burn of 29.6 gph, for a typical range of 278 nautical miles. “Fresh white” painted engines are a stylish option to accentuate the boat’s lines.
