Outer Reef Yachts has announced a new Trident Series designed in collaboration with Setzer Yacht Architects. The first model will be a 530 that is scheduled to premiere at the 2015 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

According to the builder, a dozen of the 530s have already been ordered, and construction is underway.

“Once it became apparent that a yacht under 17 meters in length would increase our reach within growing global demand, the new Outer Reef Trident Series emerged as the undeniable solution,” Outer Reef President and CEO Jeff Druek stated in a press release. “I’m confident the series is a must-have for cruisers who prefer to enjoy the flexibility and freedom of the owner-operator experience, for day trips and long-weekend getaways, while maintaining the option of long-range cruising for extended periods of time.”

Three interior options will be available on the 530. Cummins engines with pod drives will be standard, providing a top speed of 28 knots, a cruise speed of 18-20 knots and an economical cruise speed of 10 knots.

Future models will include a 650 and 750. Learn more at www.outerreefyachts.com.
