‘Once-in-a-Lifetime’ Charter Deal

The Feadship Highlander is dropping her weekly base rate by nearly $75,000.

Charter Yacht Highlander

The 162-foot Feadship Highlander is dropping her weekly base rate by €65,000 — nearly $75,000 — in hopes of securing a last-minute charter booking out of Capri, Italy, starting June 25.

Management firm Edmiston and Company is calling the price reduction a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity” to secure a 160-foot-plus charter yacht at a rate normally associated with a 100-foot charter yacht.

Highlander was built in 1986 for media mogul Malcolm Forbes. The iconic motoryacht made headlines in 2014 when she got a new owner who undertook a substantial refit that included a 12-foot extension to her stern. (See the details of the Highlander refit in our report from January 2014.)

Regular weekly base rate: €150,000 (about $169,000).

Rate with the one-time discount: €85,000 (about $95,600).
