Sanlorenzo Yachts in Italy has launched O, its first SD112. She’s a composite, semi-displacement design whose plans were introduced two years ago. Since then, six buyers (including O‘s Central American owner) have signed with the builder to take home the new model. Three more 112s are already in advanced stages of production.

The SD112 fits snugly between Sanlorenzo’s SD92 and SD122 models. More than 30 SD motoryachts have been launched, giving the builder plenty of owner feedback to build into the 112. She retains SD range features including curved side doors and lateral window shapes while adding foldable terraces in the main salon and a wide door that turns the salon and aft deck into an indoor-outdoor entertaining space.

Also updated is the exterior design. The 112 is a three-deck yacht but looks like a two-deck yacht — far sleeker than many competitors. The interior was custom-designed for the owner, who requested modern furnishings and Italian brands. Highlights include Tanganyika walnut teak on the cockpit overhead along with resin-and-metal coverings on the salon wardrobe.
