Lyman-Morse will be building a new 55-foot “Gentleman’s Fast Motoryacht.” that is the result of a collaboration between Robert H. Perry Yacht Design and renowned marine artist Russ Kramer. Weighing in at approximately 65,000 pounds, this head-turning yacht is powered with twin 1,00-horsepower C-18 Caterpillars, and expected to cruise at around 30 knots. Itama has announced the release of the new Itama Fifty, a distinctively sporty, modern 50-footer that can host up to eight people and hit speeds of up to 35 knots. Using a lamination system that involves the infusion of the glass fiber components, Itama predicts an improved weight-performance ratio. www.itama-yacht.com.

Riviera has recently debuted their new 5800, the largest of their European-style Sport Yacht series. The 5800 continues the open styling that was first introduced on the Riviera 3600 Sport Yacht and featured on the 4700SY and 4400SY. Designed using Riviera’s new NX CAD software, the 5800 Sport Yacht also employs Volvo Penta IPS propulsion. www.riviera.com.au.

Maritimo debuted their all-new Maritimo 56 at the Sanctuary Cover International Boat Show. The 56 will have slightly longer flybridge and a raked bow to give the 56 a sleeker look. Twin 715-horsepower Caterpillar C12s power the 56 to a comfortable cruising speed of 25 knots. www.maritimousa.com.

Absolute announced that they will launch the newest model in their fleet, the Absolute 64, this fall at the European boat shows, with a U.S. debut planned for sometime in the second half of 2010. www.absoluteyachts.com
