Has there ever been a better boat name than Troutopia?

Okay, yes, there are plenty of contenders out there from The Whopper to Expensive Hooker, but Troutopia is also noteworthy because she’s a fishing-boat name attached to a darn classy motoryacht. Troutopia is an 80-foot Lazzara SL (which stands for sky lounge), and is currently for sale on the brokerage market in Fort Lauderdale. Lazzara Lenton says “there hasn’t been a better-maintained yacht on the market” than this 2006 build, which just last year got an exterior paint job.

Troutopia has plenty of bells and whistles, including underwater lights and a hydraulic swim platform. Her 1,550-hp Caterpillar C-30 diesels push her to a cruising speed of 26 knots and a top speed of 30 knots. The engines have about 1,600 hours on them.

The owner has excluded just a handful of things from the sale, including a few pieces of artwork, tackle and tools, and scuba gear. Oh — and also the name Troutopia. He’s going to mandate that the new owner comes up with his own memorable moniker.

The asking price for Troutopia is $2.895 million. Learn more at www.lazzaralenton.com.
