Mulder Yachts in the Netherlands has sold a 118-foot Mulder ThirtySix that is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2019.
With exterior design by Claydon Reeves, interior design by John Vickers and naval architecture by Van Oossanen, the Mulder ThirtySix has a masculine profile and transatlantic range. Previous hulls in the series have won World Superyacht Awards.
“We have invested a lot of time and engineering in the philosophy of the Mulder ThirtySix,” Managing Director Dick Mulder stated in a press release. “Building yachts on spec significantly reduces delivery time for buyers, which is appealing. It’s an amazing vessel in every aspect.”
The standard Mulder ThirtySix has a beam of 26 feet and a gross tonnage of 298. Power is a pair of 1,150-horsepower Caterpillars that drive her to a top speed just shy of 17 knots, with a cruising speed of 15 knots.

She’s built of aluminum with four or five staterooms, allowing a complement of eight to 10 guests. Quarters can be built for four to seven crew.
This yacht is expected to charter: Mulder Yachts says the new ThirtySix is going to be christened Calypso and will be available for charter in the Mediterranean through Ocean Independence.
