More Holiday Happenings
The Bimini Big Game Club, a Guy Harvey Outpost, has decided to begin a new holiday tradition on the island preceding the annual Junkanoo celebrations — the first annual Bimini Boat Parade and Pool Party. The parade will start at 7:30, New Years Eve, at the Big Game Club’s docks. The boats will then proceed north past Alice Town, through Porgey Bay, head down harbor to the tip of south Bimini, then back to the Big Game Club’s docks. The parade’s Grand Marshall will be Charles “Sofely” Robins, the Bahamas Tourism manager for Bimini, who will ride on the flagship vessel, the 60-foot Bimini Blue. Seventy-five VIP tickets have been set aside, which include complimentary cocktails at 5:00, a pre-parade dinner at the Bimini Big Game Club Bar And Grill and a ride aboard the Bimini Blue.
