Marquis Yachts is now the sole worldwide builder for VanDutch Marine Ltd., which was founded in 2008 in Europe. All production tools and fixtures for VanDutch boats are being moved to the Marquis yard in Pulaski, Wisconsin, where the first VanDutch builds are expected to become available in early 2014.

“With this new additional business, Marquis will immediately begin to hire up to an additional 70 employees that will ultimately expand to approximately 150 employees in the near future,” Robert VanGrunsven, president of Marquis Yachts, stated in a press release. “It’s incredibly impressive with the success and retail demand that VanDutch has had in selling their unique and beautiful yachts around the world in such a short period of time, particularly throughout the global marine industry’s downturn.”

The VanDutch models that Marquis will build include a 30, 40, 40 Walk-Around, 45, 55 and 70 Yacht. To date, VanDutch has sole more than 100 of its 40-footers. The 45 and 70 will be new models next year.
