145 Benetti Checkmate
The 145-foot Benetti Checkmate, which has been for charter with Northrop and Johnson since the recent winter Caribbean season, is now also for sale on the brokerage market at an asking price of $24.9 million.
Billed as a 2013 launch, Checkmate is a black-hulled head-turner from the Italian builder’s Vision series. She is the 100th fiberglass boat built by Benetti and offers several unique features including large square hull ports, a sky lounge with additional windows, a day head on her sundeck and a “contemporary chic” interior by Francois Zuretti.
Checkmate accommodates 10 to 12 guests in five staterooms and has additional cabins for 10 crew. Her twin Caterpillar engines give her a cruising speed of 14 knots and a range of 3,500 nautical miles. She also is equipped with a dual-voltage electrical system and zero-speed stabilizers.
Checkmate is expected to be available for inspection this summer in New England, where she is chartering at a weekly base rate of $200,000. Learn more at www.njyachts.com.
