In a recent issue of our print magazine, we told you about the 129-foot Newcastle Safira, a sweet new eco-friendly explorer yacht that spent this past summer on charter in Greenland. Safira has made her way back to North America and is going to be available for tours at this month’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show before she heads off for a winter of chartering in Panama, the San Blas Islands and possibly Costa Rica.

For summer 2014, Safira will be heading up America’s West Coast to Alaska. That means the boat show in Florida this month is the last chance for potential charter clients to get onboard and meet the crew before Safira moves into position for upcoming charters.

Safira accommodates 10 guests at a lowest weekly base rate of $119,000. She is not only eco-friendly but also is expedition-ready, with a hull built to ice-class standards, de-icers for exterior equipment and Farsounder forward-looking sonar. She is as ready for icebergs as she is for whales and uncharted obstacles, and her captain and crew are eager to show charter guests destinations where other yachts simply do not go.
