Arnold and Son watch
Northrop & Johnson in Fort Lauderdale has announced a partnership with watchmaker Arnold & Son, which has been crafting chronometers and marine timepieces for 250 years.
The partnership means Arnold & Sons timepieces will be on display at Northrop & Johnson booths and events throughout 2015, bringing the company’s affluent yachting clientele into contact with the brand.
Pieces expected to be on display include Arnold & Son’s new Golden Wheel, whose inspiration dates to 1700s England. Materials include solid 18-carat red gold, a mother-of-pearl arc, sapphire disks, gold arrows and a Cotes de Geneve finish. Some 29 jewels and 232 components are part of the mechanical self-winding movement, and the timepiece is water-resistant to nearly 100 feet. Only 125 of these timepieces are being created.
