Hot New Charter Yachts

Head-turners in the power and sail categories alike are launching onto this summer’s luxury charter scene. There’s still time to book if you want to be among the first people in the world to enjoy a week’s vacation aboard these beauties.

Diamonds Are Forever

Diamonds Are Forever. This 200-foot Benetti (right) offers charter clients not one, but two full-beam guest staterooms featuring panoramic views. An elevator serves all decks including the sundeck, which offers smart windscreens around a large area of chaise lounges. A cruising speed of 15 knots means less time under way and more time enjoying the sights. Diamonds Are Forever charters at a weekly base rate of $395,000 during the winter and approximately $430,000 in the summer and can accommodate 12 guests in two master VIP staterooms and four guest cabins. She is available for charter in the Caribbean and the Bahamas for the remainder of the winter and will charter in the Mediterranean in the summer of 2012. For more information contact Ocean Independence.

Hemisphere. At 145 feet LOA, Hemisphere is the world’s largest luxury catamaran (below). She left even longtime brokers gushing at the recent Antigua Charter Yacht Show, not only because of her impressive size, but also because of her stunning décor. There are no fewer than 16 kinds of leather onboard, and that’s just for starters. Hemisphere is available for charter at a weekly base rate of $245,000 for the winter approximately $230,000 in the summer and can accommodate 12 guests in five staterooms. She is available for charter in the Caribbean and British Virgin Islands for the remainder of the winter and will be in the Mediterranean for the summer of 2012. For more information contact Burgess Yachts.

Athos. Yes, we know, this 203-foot Holland Jachtbouw was built in 2010, but she’s entering charter this year for the first time—which is a big deal, seeing as how she’s the world’s largest privately owned double-masted schooner. As if that weren’t enough, she also carries a unique toy: a flying inflatable boat that can climb to 10,000 feet and top out at 50 knots. Athos is available for charter at a weekly base rate of approximately $235,000 and can accommodate 10 guests in five staterooms. She is available for charter in the Caribbean and South America during the winter and the Eastern and Western Mediterranean during the summer. For more information contact YPI Group.
