Heesen Yachts has sold Project Ayla, a 164-foot semi-displacement yacht. Construction is already underway, with delivery expected in April 2018.

Abberley Luxury Yachts in Britain introduced the client to the Dutch shipyard.

Project Ayla is part of Heesen’s 5000 Aluminum Class, which was designed as a customizable platform with shorter delivery times than fully custom builds. Power will be twin 2,880 kW MTU engines, for a maximum speed of 23 knots and range of 3,100 nautical miles at 11 knots.

Cristiano Gatto handled interiors, which the shipyard describes as “chic minimalist” and “a contemporary interpretation of New Déco.” Materials include soft chenille fabric as well as high-gloss ebony and Canaletto walnut woods.

What’s next for Heesen Yachts: Another hull in the builder’s 5000 Aluminum Class is also under construction. She’s available for delivery in spring 2019.
