Heesen Yachts Project Ventura

Heesen Yachts’ new 50-Meter Semi-Displacement series seems to be catching on. The Dutch yard just sold a yacht in that series that was started on spec.

Project Ventura, as the all-aluminum megayacht is being called, is part of the same series as Heesen Yachts’ Satori. As such, the semi-displacement, 163’4″ Project Ventura should see a 23-knot top speed (half load), powered by MTU 16V 4000 M90s. Best range should be 3,200 nautical miles at 12 knots. She’ll further meet ABS classification and MCA requirements.

Featuring accommodations for 12 in the owner’s party, Project Ventura will have an interior design by Francesco Paszkowski. The owner is said to be working closely with Paszkowski to ensure a minimalist style, highlighted by strong contrasts between whitened oak paneling and ebony soles and furnishings. One of the primary goals of this combination is to accentuate the already spacious beam, which is 29’6”.

Rather than just have a master suite and five guest staterooms, Project Ventura will have two master staterooms. One will be situated on the upper deck, while the other will be in the customary place on the main deck. Besides a twin cabin, two queen-size staterooms, and a VIP stateroom below decks, there will also be a staff cabin, for a personal assistant to the owner when needed.

Expect Project Ventura to be delivered in early 2013.
