Island Global Yachting will open their newest development, Marina Santa Marta, on September 1. But you can get a sneak peak during their Fiesta Del Mar (July 29 – 31), a South American style celebration with a preview of the marina and a mini boat show. Located in a soft-sand, sheltered bay in Santa Marta, Colombia, Marina Santa Marta will feature 256 berths for vessels from 25- to 132-feet in length, with a maximum draft of 11 feet and a maximum beam of 29 feet. With an in-house port authority, customs and immigration stations, along with amenities like vessel pump-out, fuel, WiFi, electricity and water, IGY hopes that the marina will become a popular destination for sportfishermen and other cruisers in the area. www.igymarinas.com
