The Race is On!
There are a record-breaking number of entries this year for the 2011 Rolex Fastnet Race.

Registration for the Rolex Fastnet Race opened at midnight on Sunday January 9 and nearly 100 yachts had entered by midday on Monday, January 10. Within a week, 250 boats had entered and only 50 slots remained. So far the entries from 14 different countries include including 15 Class 40’s, 14 Sigma 38 and First 40.7s. The 608-mile race takes place every two years. The race starts on August 14, 2011 in Cowes on the Isle of Wight in England, rounds the Fastnet Rock off the southwest coast of Ireland and then finishes at Plymouth in the South of England after passing south of the Isles of Scilly.
