Great Yachts in Exotic Locations

If your dream is to charter where waypoints are anything but standard, then you’re in luck, because more and more top-quality yachts are becoming available in exotic destinations. From Indonesia and the Indian Ocean to the South Pacific and Central and South America, some of our favorites for this winter include MS. B HAVEN, a 98-foot Knight and Carver that charters year-round in Panama and Central America, and that can be booked in tandem with the 66-foot sport-fish yacht CHERIN III.

ANEMA E CORE is based in Brazil and completed her first charters this past summer during the World Cup. The 75-foot Intermarine is aiming to open that region for charter and is currently the largest crewed yacht based there. Neo Yachting

DUNIA BARU is a stunning 173-foot phinisi-style sailing yacht built by an American owner for charters throughout Indonesia. Her itineraries include Raja Ampat, New Guinea, which is quickly becoming the hottest exotic spot for charter in that part of the world. Northrop and Johnson

AQUA MEKONG is a 197-foot river yacht offering itineraries in China. She has the same owner as several successful river yachts in the Amazon region. Edmiston

RED DRAGON is returning to the Seychelles this winter. The 169-foot Alloy has a crew who know the exotic Indian Ocean islands well, having chartered there in previous years. Cecil Wright

224-Foot Alloy VERTIGO is one of the most luxurious sailing yachts available for charter worldwide. She is a true standout in Southeast Asia and Indonesia, where relatively few charter yachts of her caliber travel. Expect five-star service, contemporary comfort and exceptional performance under sail. Y. CO

AZTECA II is one of the few crewed charter yachts under management in Mexico with an international company. She offers itineraries along the Mexican Riviera, and her crew have extensive local knowledge of the region. Edmiston

SILOLONA, a 164-foot Phinisi, has earned a good reputation during the past few years of combining traditional Indonesian culture with five-star international service. Her crew bring the local flavors and traditions on board, and her style is unlike most other sailing yachts worldwide. Silolona Sojourns

ASKARI has spent quite a lot of time in the South Pacific, and her crew have great local knowledge of the region. She’s a fantastic option for families given her price point and layout, and her construction makes her comfortable underway.

CLEVELANDER, an 82-foot Nautor’s Swan, is one of the select few charter yachts based in the Sea of Cortez, which is a terrific winter charter option for anyone looking for a change from the Caribbean islands. The crew have spent several seasons there and can create customized itineraries depending on guests’ wishes.
