Funds for Tsunami go to Whaling

According to environmentalists, Japan still pretty evil.

A recent report from Greenpeace states that Japan is using part of the money sent to them for recovery after the devastating tsunami earlier in the year to fund their controversial whaling program. Approximately 2.3 billion yen — about $30 million — is being used to fund “security measures” for their whaling fleet (apparently those crazy bastards on Whale Wars are doing something other than complaining and lying to the media). Despite the fact that there has been a ban of whaling on the books for 25 years, Japan catches approximately 1,000 whales each year for what it calls their scientific research program and what most of the rest of the world calls slaughtering innocent whales.
