Ferretti Yachts‘ 450 debuted at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September and marks the builder’s return to the under 50-foot flybridge market. The Ferretti 960 is the largest in the builder’s 10-model line.

The 450 has a three-stateroom setup and can accommodate six guests for extended cruising. There’s a full-beam master suite with a double berth with a sofa to starboard. An en suite head has a separate shower stall. There’s also a forepeak VIP with en suite head. Abaft and to starboard is a third guest stateroom with bunks. Other features include a retractable swim platform that can handle a 9-foot tender, and a cockpit with seating and teak table for alfresco meals under the extended flybridge overhang.

The 450’s interior has parquet floor and sports “walnut doors with lacquered frames and a glazed surface at the bottom.”

Power for the 450 comes from either 480 or 550 mhp Cummins QSB 6.7 diesels. With the 480s, the builder says cruising speed is around 25 knots with a top hop of 29 knots. The larger diesels should increase those speeds to 29 and 31 knots, respectively.

The 450 is a collaboration between the Ferretti Group Product Strategy Committee, the Group’s Engineering Department, and the Studio Zuccon International Project.

Coming to America: According to Ferretti Group, the Ferretti Yachts 450 will make her American debut at Yachts Miami Beach in February 2017.
