The 128-foot superyacht If Only was photographed going up in flames on Thursday, August 17, not too far off a busy beach in Nice, France.
The yacht, originally built in 1974, was being used for charter. All 11 individuals on board survived, with one taken to a hospital in Antibes, the French news outlet The Local France reported. The news outlet also stated that it took six boats and 66 firefighters to put the fire out.
The Dutch yacht's blaze continued into the night until the vessel sank around 10 p.m.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
This on board fire comes just a few months after a severe fire that occurred in April in a Barcelona harbor, which sunk six yachts and damaged four others.
