  • The 128-foot superyacht If Only was photographed going up in flames on Thursday, August 17, not too far off a busy beach in Nice, France.

  • The yacht, originally built in 1974, was being used for charter. All 11 individuals on board survived, with one taken to a hospital in Antibes, the French news outlet The Local France reported. The news outlet also stated that it took six boats and 66 firefighters to put the fire out.

  • The Dutch yacht's blaze continued into the night until the vessel sank around 10 p.m.

  • The cause of the fire is under investigation.

  • This on board fire comes just a few months after a severe fire that occurred in April in a Barcelona harbor, which sunk six yachts and damaged four others.
