Exposure X2 Flashlight

The typical hand-held lights for boaters are long-lasting, household-style flashlights and spotlights that pack serious candlepower. The Exposure X2 ($258) is designed to work as both. The X2 can act as a 700-lumen white searchlight for up to an hour, while the low-power option for typical nighttime rummaging lasts 13 hours. Red light mode, which doesn’t impair a helmsman’s night vision, boasts a 70-hour charge. In a man-overboard situation, an automated SOS strobe function puts out a distress message. The X2 is designed to float with the beam directed skyward, so when it’s tethered to a life vest, it will continue to flash if you lose consciousness.

A glow-in-the-dark plastic ring means you won’t need a flashlight to find your flashlight when it’s not in its 12-volt, 240-volt or USB recharging holster.
